Read from your Moon sign, which is what “your sign” means in Indian practice. If you know only your Western sun sign, generate a kundli once to find your rashi — they differ for most people.

Progress in one direction, friction in another.

The Moon passes through the eighth house from your rashi today, so sudden change, shared money and things kept private is where your attention keeps returning whether you plan it or not.

Sun in the eleventh supports income, friends and things you have been hoping for; Venus in the twelfth supports expenditure, travel abroad, sleep and letting go; Jupiter in the ninth supports luck, father, teachers and long journeys.

Moon in the eighth asks for care with sudden change, shared money and things kept private; Mercury in the twelfth asks for care with expenditure, travel abroad, sleep and letting go; Mars in the ninth asks for care with luck, father, teachers and long journeys.

Expect to revisit sudden change, shared money and things kept private more than once before it settles.

How this is calculated

Each graha's sidereal longitude is taken from the ephemeris for 4 October 2026 at 06:00 UT, using the Lahiri ayanamsa.
Its house is counted from the rashi, which is the gochara method of Phaladeepika chapter 26 — not from the Western sun sign.
Favourable houses per graha follow the standard gochara table. The daily reading weights the Moon most heavily, since it changes sign every two and a quarter days; the monthly and yearly readings weight Jupiter, Saturn and Rahu, which is what actually distinguishes one month or year from the next.
Scores are centred so that the average across all twelve rashis is zero. Without that correction Saturn alone — favourable in only three houses of twelve — would make three quarters of all readings negative every day, which would be a fact about the arithmetic rather than about the sky.
Nothing here is randomised or rotated. The same date always produces the same reading, and a different date produces a different one because the positions differ.
