Read from your Moon sign, which is what “your sign” means in Indian practice. If you know only your Western sun sign, generate a kundli once to find your rashi — they differ for most people.

Good

Jupiter sits in the ninth house from your rashi, which favours luck, father, teachers and long journeys.

Saturn sits in the fifth house from your rashi, which puts pressure on children, study, romance and creative work.

Rahu sits in the fourth house from your rashi, which puts pressure on home, mother and peace of mind.

Ketu sits in the tenth house from your rashi, which favours work, standing and what others expect of you.

The Sun moves through the eleventh house this month, putting income, friends and things you have been hoping for in the light — this is the area where effort is most visible to other people just now.

How this is calculated

Each graha's sidereal longitude is taken from the ephemeris for 4 October 2026 at 06:00 UT, using the Lahiri ayanamsa.
Its house is counted from the rashi, which is the gochara method of Phaladeepika chapter 26 — not from the Western sun sign.
Favourable houses per graha follow the standard gochara table. The daily reading weights the Moon most heavily, since it changes sign every two and a quarter days; the monthly and yearly readings weight Jupiter, Saturn and Rahu, which is what actually distinguishes one month or year from the next.
Scores are centred so that the average across all twelve rashis is zero. Without that correction Saturn alone — favourable in only three houses of twelve — would make three quarters of all readings negative every day, which would be a fact about the arithmetic rather than about the sky.
Nothing here is randomised or rotated. The same date always produces the same reading, and a different date produces a different one because the positions differ.
